It has been a long time since we started this project and we know many of you are wondering what we’ve been doing with all this time. I’m sure it’s no surprise to you that Dave and Joe and I love doing things ourselves and also have a hard time letting other people do things for us. So once the contractors finished demolition and basic infrastructure, we surveyed the clean white box they made us and set to work designing, building, and installing every remaining piece ourselves. It has been a painstaking, sometimes agonizing process, of endless decisions, revisions, and new skill building. With the help of David Obuchowski at DO Arch Architecture and a scrappy team of metal workers, graphic designers, and glass cutters around Brooklyn, we pieced this thing together.

For Moto, the materials we choose and the way we build is just as important as the resulting built thing. We tried time and time again to farm out projects or to buy prefabricated (often high quality and gorgeous) items, but kept on circling back around to add another project to our own list instead. This sickness made of stubbornness, insanity, creativity, and faith seems to have defined PizzaMoto over the years and we hope it has resulted in something you will love as much as we do.

For your consideration….
